In masters of home = masters of exile :
Hasan Özdemir was born in Turkey in 1963 and has been living in Germany since 1979. In his poetry he finds a unique language for the experience of home/not home.
The artist Seçkin Aydın (1980, Diyarbakir – Turkey, Ph.D. Lecturer) works in form of installations, performances and object art with the poems. Through this mutual exchange it is possible to experience poetry spacially and to gain different perspectives to the subject home/not home.
In the district Wedding in Berlin 70% of its citizens come from different cultures and the theme home/not home is ever present, for immigrants and non-immigrants alike. The presence of the project masters of home = masters of exile gives visitors the opportunity to reflect on the subject, poetry and the artists‘ work and to talk with the artists or the other visitors.
Exhibition takes place 27. April 2012, 7 pm.
